Members of the firm have over 75 years of service on Capitol Hill and
in the executive branch. They have served on or worked with all the
subcommittees of the Appropriations Committees.
In addition, members of Edington, Peel & Associates have worked
for Members of a wide range of authorizing committees in the Senate
and House. These include the Senate Armed Services, Governmental Affairs,
Intelligence, and Aging Committees, and the House Ways and Means, Transportation
and Infrastructure, Education and Labor, and Government Reform Committees.
The firm's principals have served as senior executive branch officials
in the Department of Defense and the Department of the Treasury, as
well as in senior positions at the local government level. Positions
in which they have served on Capitol Hill include committee and subcommittee
staff director, chief of staff, appropriations associate, legislative
director, and press secretary.
This breadth of experience makes the firm uniquely qualified to understand
the needs of its clients and how best to advance their priorities at the
federal level. The background of the principals in all facets of the
legislative process and in senior executive branch positions enables them to
develop strategies for each step of the process: from securing a provision
containing language or funding in bills coming out of committee, to
retaining that provision and insuring its proper implementation by a federal
department or agency.
The principals of Edington, Peel & Associates know what needs to
be done and how to do it. They know how to provide the accurate, complete
and timely information that Members and staff need and appreciate in
the performance of their duties.
